Grant Habari Labs partner access to your WhatsApp Account
Adding Habari Labs as a partner in Meta Business Manager is optional. It doesn't change how WhatsApp works in HabariChat, your account functions the same with or without it. What it does is let your WABA appear in our Business Settings and give our team access through Meta's Business Manager UI, so we can manage assets and raise support cases with Meta directly when something needs Meta's involvement.
Why grant Habari Labs partner access?
Your WhatsApp Business Account continues to work normally with HabariChat even if you don't grant partner access. Granting access simply lets us provide faster, more complete support when an issue needs Meta's involvement.
By adding Habari Labs as a Business Partner, you allow our team to:
- Raise support cases with Meta on your behalf, through the WhatsApp Tech Provider support portal.
- Escalate registration, display name, onboarding, messaging, and phone number issues directly to Meta.
- Investigate Meta-side issues that can't be resolved from inside HabariChat.
- Assist with WhatsApp Business Account management when troubleshooting requires it.
- Reduce resolution time, since we won't need to request access in the middle of an active support case.
How to add Habari Labs as a partner
Have an admin of your business portfolio add Habari Labs as a partner and grant access to your WhatsApp Account. Nothing is shared by password: Meta links the two businesses by ID, and you choose exactly which assets and permission level to grant.
- Admin access to your business portfolio in Meta Business Settings. To check: go to Business Settings > Users > People, find your name, and confirm the Role column shows Admin.
- A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) already set up in that portfolio.
- Habari Labs' Business Portfolio ID, shown below.
1017403213695516 — enter this exact number when Meta asks for the partner's Business ID.
Steps
- Go to business.facebook.com and open Business Settings for the portfolio that owns your WhatsApp Business Account.
- In the left menu, under Users, click Partners.
- Click Add.
- Select Give a partner access to your assets.
- Enter Habari Labs' Business Portfolio ID: 1017403213695516.
- Under assets, select your WhatsApp Account and, if it's shown separately, your WhatsApp Phone Numbers.
- Set the permission level to Full control (or at minimum Manage WhatsApp Account), then send the invite.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| Habari Labs ID not found | Re-check the digits with no spaces: 1017403213695516. |
| "Partners" option isn't in the menu | You need an admin role on the business portfolio. Ask the portfolio owner to grant you admin access or to complete this step themselves. |
| No "WhatsApp Phone Numbers" asset shown | Some portfolios only list "WhatsApp Account." That single toggle covers the account and its numbers, so it's enough on its own. |
| WABA missing from Habari Labs' Business Settings | Wait a few minutes for Meta to sync, confirm the portfolio ID you entered matches exactly, then let us know on WhatsApp. |
Common questions
No. Your business remains the owner of the WhatsApp Business Account and all associated phone numbers at all times. Habari Labs is added only as a trusted partner with delegated permissions, which you can revoke whenever you choose.
No. Partner access is optional. HabariChat continues to function normally without it; granting access only improves how quickly we can resolve issues that need Meta's involvement.
Certain issues, such as display name provisioning, phone number registration, Embedded Signup, onboarding, and messaging restrictions, can only be investigated or escalated effectively through Meta's support channels. Partner access lets Habari Labs submit and manage these support cases on your behalf, which means faster troubleshooting and resolution.
It's the unique number Meta assigns to a business in Business Manager. Adding a partner by ID tells Meta exactly which company to grant access to, without sharing any passwords. Habari Labs' Business Portfolio ID is 1017403213695516.
No. Partner access is granted asset by asset. As long as you only tick the WhatsApp Account (and WhatsApp Phone Numbers, if shown), Habari Labs cannot see or manage your Facebook Page, Instagram account, ad accounts, or anything else in your portfolio.
No. Connect WhatsApp uses Meta's Embedded Signup popup inside HabariChat and is how your number actually gets connected. Partner access is a separate, optional step granted in Meta Business Settings that gives Habari Labs visibility and support access to an account you've already connected, or are connecting.
Yes, at any time. Go to Business Settings > Users > Partners, select Habari Labs, and remove its access or delete the partner. This does not delete your WhatsApp Business Account; it only removes our ability to manage or raise support cases for it.
